WHAT TO INCLUDE ON YOUR ABOUT US PAGE
Your opening headline could be “About Us”, but it can also be something a little more
enticing. Remember, it may “just” be an about us page, but headlines can make the
difference between a visitor reading your page or not.
Try to break up your page with bullet points (or numbered lists), and headlines.
Use your name and photo.
State the purpose of your website.
Try to include social proof if possible. This could be a Twitter or Facebook “badge” showing
how many followers you have, or mention of that Kindle book you published.
Talk to the visitors, telling them why they should explore your site. This doesn’t have to be a
direct sales pitch. I prefer to tell a story that highlights the benefits of the site.
Include links to social media channels if you have them set up.
Include a call to action. What do you want your visitor to do next?
